Anyone with an interest in table tennis is welcome to join! We encourage players of all skill levels to participate. However, all teams must be affiliated with a club, and each club's venue must be approved by the league administrator to ensure it meets minimum league standards.

Players must be at least 12 years old to join. Players under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There is no upper age limit, and we welcome adult players of all ages.

Registration usually opens around June and closes mid August. All teams must be affiliated with a club. Each team requires 3 players for a match but more players can be assigned to a team if players wish to rotate. Each club has an assigned club administrator responsible for registering teams in the league. If you're unsure who your club administrator is, check the Clubs page or contact us.

If you want to enter teams into the league or list your club on the Clubs page, follow these steps:

  1. Sign up for an account on the website (it's free)
  2. Contact the league administrator via the form on the Contact page, stating that you wish to register a new club, where it is and some possible dates for a visit by the league administrator (to verify that it's a legitimate club and that the venue meets league standards)
  3. Following a successful visit, the league administrator will update your account permissions to make you a club admin. Then you will be able to manage club information from your club admin dashboard.

Seasons usually start in the first week of September and end in April (depending on the number of teams and fixtures).

Matches are typically held once a week. All the fixtures for each team will display on the website shortly before the season starts. Each team plays each other team in their division both at home and away.

Yes, there is a registration fee of £80 per player per season. This fee covers league administration and prizes for division winners. The club administrator collects these payments and submits them to the league before registration closes.

Refunds are available up to 14 days before the season starts.

Missing a match without prior notice may result in a forfeit. However, we understand emergencies happen - please inform the league and your opponent as soon as possible so we can try to accommodate.

Yes, rescheduling is possible if both teams agree. Just notify the league administrator if you plan to reschedule a match so the website can be updated.

Matches usually start at 7:00 PM. A typical match lasts about 2 hours but depends on how closely matched the teams are.

Each of the 3 players on a team plays a match against each of the 3 opposing players. Matches are best of 5 games, with each game played to 11 points (win by 2). There is also one doubles match which follows a similar format. Therefore, 10 matches are played in total.

The winning team earns 2 points, the losing team gets 0, and if the result is a 5-5 draw, both teams receive 1 point.

Players should wear indoor trainers and comfortable sportswear. Avoid wearing white shirts, as the ball color is usually white. No sandals, jeans, or dress shoes are allowed on the playing surface.

Matches are held at the club venues. Each team will play each other team both at the home and away venue. Full venue information and directions are available on the Clubs page.

Spectators are welcome and encouraged to attend but not all clubs have space for spectators. We recommend contacting the home team beforehand to check that they have enough space.
